The name of Bogner is inextricably linked with the theme of sport. “The focus on sport is of paramount importance to the collection” says Creative Manager Andreas Baumgärtner. “It is also imperative for me to continue improving both the outfit design of the German Ski Federation DSV and our typical Bogner signature flames, for which I would also like to design a summer version. This is why we are now opting for a more concrete representation of color and decoration, both of which will appear in a transformed version – not quite as opulent as before, and definitely with a much stronger focus on function.” The Spring/Summer 2018 Sport Man and Woman collection draws its inspiration from the golf course.
BOGNER FIRE + ICE
‘Fashionable Function’ is the key message of the Spring/Summer 2018 Fire + Ice Collection. “Fire + Ice undoubtedly focuses on performance and Athleisure – always embracing the Bogner values, however interpreting them in a more active way”, explains Creative Manager Andreas Baumgärtner. The objective is to position Fire + Ice once again as a sub-brand in its own right supposed to appeal to a target group with a different look-and-feel attitude than that of the typical Bogner customer.
Bogner Man also has a clear focus on sport and performance. “The name Bogner is naturally associated with sportiness and a sports background. “As sport is organically part of the brand’s DNA, our menswear range has to breathe the spirit of sportiness, too”, says Creative Manager Andreas Baumgärtner.
Bogner Woman embodies modern sportiness. “We want to send a fresh message with this collection; to achieve this aim, we have to mottle it with stylistic inconsistency and avoid ladylike elements“, Creative Manager Andreas Baumgärtner says about the new spring/summer 2018 collection. Forming part of the brand’s heritage, Athleisure will be integrated into this collection and, consequently, influence the styles of all Bogner Woman looks.
Performance, high fashion and lifestyle – the brands Bogner and Bogner Fire + Ice combine sporting functionality with contemporary design and modern zeitgeist. It is not without reason that the Munich-based company is considered the "inventor of sports fashion" and, with its luxury fashion and sportswear concept, it remains an international market leader today.
